SERVPRO Here to Help

April 19th 2016 SERVPRO received a call for help.  The local SERVPROs were not able to give all the support that was needed to help the people in their city in Houston, TX.  So we assembled our team and headed West.  We were Houston bound to do what every we could to help where ever we could.  Not just our office but SERVPROs from all over the US.  Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama and other Texas Franchises were there to help.  We at SERVPRO of Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Gulfport, & Pascagoula know what it’s like when a disaster strikes.  We here on the MS Gulf Coast have made this call for Help several times in the past with Storm Team and that is why we are always one of the first to be on site when needed.  This pictures only tell part of the story.  It shows you the damage that a flood can do to a home but not what it can do to a family.

Steven, Casey, and Perry (from left to right) Saving a Baby Raccoon

On May 10, 2016, SERVPRO of Pascagoula technicians encountered a new way to help. While on-site conducting quality water mitigation services at a home in Gulfport MS, what peered out at them while removing wet drywall ceilings melted their hearts. A lone baby raccoon, that was barely able to walk, was found abandoned and mother-less. Technicians Steven Riley, Perry Favor, and Casey Gullotta decided to be SERVPRO HERO READY in a different way. They safely secured the animal in a box lined with soft towels, and contacted Gulf Coast Wildlife Rehab (www.gulfcoastwildliferehab.org), which came quickly thereafter to the rescue. The baby raccoon will receive top notch healthcare to ensure a happy quality of life. Hats off to these young men for going above and beyond for ALL life!

SERVPRO of Pascagoula--Always Ready to Help!

This photo shows a water line after a house flooded during a bad rain storm in Texas. When a bad flood happens, sewage backup, or water sits for days it is considered a Category 3 loss. This means baseboards, drywall, insulation, and affected flooring and other affected material must be removed and disposed of. In this room we removed baseboards, removed affected sheetrock 2 ft. up and any insulation on interior walls (not shown in picture). This room does not need flooring removed because it is a tile floor and can be sanitized with an antimicrobial and dried in place.

Here at SERVPRO of Pascagoula we are always ready to help with any size disaster!
